‘Shedding

I just spent three weeks up at the Banff Centre in the Canadian Rockies, doing a Musicians in Residency program. What a gift (and a challenge) to have unstructured time to play and create in such a beautiful setting and among a dynamic, diverse, international group of musicians. (And that’s not even counting the Puppet People…) Though the mountains beckoned, most of my time was spent contemplating my navel in Music Hut #7 (Mendelssohn). My main goal was to generate new ideas for Bristle and dream some dreams. We’ve talked about expanding the group into bigger (dare I say rowdier?) versions of the ensemble for various projects. I’m happy to say in less than a month, one of those visions will have its debut. Stay tuned for more info about Electric Bristle…
